蝦米？ WCEU (Wordcamp Europe) 的組織者竟然寫信給法國新上任的總統馬克宏？這是在演哪齣戲？
WordCamp Europe 預計於下個月 (2017 年 6 月 15~17 日) 在法國巴黎召開。其會議的組織者竟然在此刻寫信給法國新任總統馬克宏，難道是要邀他與會嗎？
我不知道馬克宏是否是 WordPress 粉絲團的一員，但我知道這不是去信給他的原因。真正的原因是，許多要參加 WordCamp 的 W 粉被法國拒給簽証，進不了法國大門，急得 WCEU 的組織者只好去信給馬克宏求救。
難道 WordPress 和恐怖份子有什麼牽扯嗎？讓我們繼續看下去。。。。
WordCamp 是什麼活動?
維基百科英文版對 WordCamp 的解釋如下：
WordCamps are casual, locally organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. The first such event was WordCamp 2006 in August 2006 in San Francisco, which lasted one day and had over 500 attendees. The first WordCamp outside San Francisco was held in Beijing in September 2007. Since then, there have been over 507 WordCamps in over 207 cities in 48 different countries around the world. WordCamp San Francisco 2014 was the last official annual conference of WordPress developers and users taking place in San Francisco, having now been replaced with WordCamp US.

上述簡體中文資訊有點老了，且有些地方看起來卡卡，於是我在此做繁體中文翻譯如下：
WordCamps 是輕鬆 (勸你不要穿西裝禮服與會的意思) 、由在地組織的研討會，涉及 WordPress 的一切。第一次此類活動 WordCamp 2006 是在 2006 年 8 月於舊金山召開，持續一天有超過 500 人參與。第一次在舊金山以外地區召開的 WordCamp 是 2007 年 9 月在北京舉辦。從那時起，全球有超過 48 個國家、207 個城市、舉辦過 507 場以上的 WordCamps 了。WordCamp San Francisco 2014 是最後一場在舊金山舉辦、為 WordPress 開發者及使用者召開的正式年會；之後已被 WordCamp US 取代。
法國巴黎的 WordCamp 發生了啥事？
擷取 WCEU 去信的主要段落如下：
“It has come to our attention that our friends from some countries are having problems with their Visas being rejected on the ground that ‘a 40€ entry fee can not justify international travel,’ something that makes this conference accessible to all,”
簡單的說，法國外事部門拒絕給一些 WordCamp 參與者簽證，因為他們認為這些人為了參與一場收費僅 40€ 的研討會而進行國際旅行，是一件很不合常理的事。

WCEU 的組織者解釋說， WordCamp 研討會降低門檻的目的，是希望能讓更多人參與。並說明 WordPress 及 WordCamp 的目標和馬克宏是一致的，是為了要讓世界更美好。法國曾帶給了全世界許多的藝術家、發明家、運動員及政治領袖，現在及未來更會發揚光大。不是嗎？
